Working Hours During Christmas and New Year Holidays

In connection with Decision No. 808/19.11.2025 of the Council of Ministers regarding the upcoming holidays and days off, the working hours of the sites and exhibitions of the Regional Historical Museum - Veliko Tarnovo will be changed as follows:

  • The Archaeological Museum, the museum's "Revival and Constituent Assembly", "Prison", and "Sarafkina House" will not receive visitors from December 24, 2025, to January 4, 202,6, inclusive, due to annual maintenance work.

  • The "Tsarevets" Fortress will receive visitors on December 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30, 2025 and on January 2, 3 and 4, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The fortress will not receive visitors on December 31, 2025 and January 1, 2026.

  • MMPC "Tsarevgrad Tarnov" will be open on December 24, 25, 29, and 30, 2025. Closed on December 26, 27, 28, and 31, 202,5 and from January 1 to 4, 2026 inclusive.

  • Church "St. 40 Martyrs" will be open on December 24, 25, 29, and 30, 2025. Closed on December 26, 27, 28, and 31, 202,5 and from January 1 to 4, 2026 inclusive.

  • The Church "Nativity of Christ" in Arbanasi village will be open on December 24, 25, 29, and 30, 2025. Closed on December 26, 27, 28 and 31, 2025, and from January 1 to 4, 2026, inclusive. On the patron saint's day - December 25, it will receive visitors free of charge from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Lighting candles is not permitted, except in the interior candle holders.

  • The Museum "Konstantsalieva House", Arbanasi village will be open on December 29 and 30, 2025. Closed on December 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 31, 2025 and from January 1 to 4, 2026 inclusive.

  • AMP "Trapezitsa" will not receive visitors from December 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026.

  • AP "Nicopolis ad Istrum" will not receive visitors from December 15, 2025 to March 20, 2026.

From December 1, 2025, the sale of combined tickets for visiting 10 sites and the combined ticket for MMPC "Tsarevgrad Tarnov", Church "St. Peter and Paul" and Church "St. John of Rila" will be discontinued.
